Outside the front door of the Ayurveda Hospital extends Europe's
largest mountain park, the Habichtswald Nature Park. A part of it,
directly bounding the hospital grounds belongs to the ‘Kurpark’ of
the most beautiful part of Kassel, Bad Wilhelmshöhe.
The attractions of the Habichtswald Nature Park can be accessed
from the Clinic via a few minutes walk. These include the
world-famous castle Wilhelmshöhe and its gallery, collection of
antiques and an impressive garden. From the castle steps, you look
up at the Herkules, the symbol of the city of Kassel. Even this
goal is easily reachable and requires a mere leisurely walk.
Centre of thermal baths is the Kurhessen Spa, which is connected
via a direct access to the Habichtswald Clinic. The Kurhessen Spa
offers large swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), saunas and steam
baths of all kinds, as well as tanning beds and extensive
relaxation areas. For all patients and visitors of the Ayurveda
Clinic, the use of this exciting pool area is always possible and
free.
The city of Kassel is situated in the green heart of Germany, at
the intersection of important rail and road links. The
Documenta-town, with its wide range of offers has built itself a
reputation as European art and cultural metropolis. The outstanding
attractions include the baroque park Karlsaue with the Orangerie
and the isle of flowers, the art gallery at the Museum
Fridericianum, the New Gallery, the Brüder Grimm Museum, the
Hessian State Museum and the Museum of Astronomy and Technical
History, to which the planetarium is connected. Numerous concerts,
open-air events and other events throughout the year add to the
extremely varied range of this friendly town. The highlight of the
cultural life in Kassel is the world's most important art
exhibition Documenta, every five years, the next one taking place
in 2012.
