Why nutrition is so important from the ayurvedic point of view
Ayurvedic cuisine is an essential part of the holistic "theory of a long and healthy life." It is employed by us accordingly: matched to the three doshas, obliged to the all-dominant six tastes (see below) adapted to our palates and our habits - especially when using some Indian spices.
While the ayurvedic theory allows the intake of some animal products (eggs, fish and seafood, poultry) in small amounts, during your stay at the Ayurveda Clinic, Habichtswald you will adopt a vegetarian cuisine that will surprise you in its diversity. Not eating meat is part of our cleansing and regeneration process and thus supports the rest of our therapy.
